HORMONES AND WEIGHT
Our hormones interact with each other to orchestrate many physical processes in the body from balancing our blood sugar to building bone and muscle to stimulating our sex organs and making babies to helping us to handle stress, and regulating body temperature and metabolic rate. When the orchestra of hormones is working well together the symphony of body processes are in fine tune and we feel good. However, it only takes one piece of the orchestra to go off tune and the whole concerto can sound rather flat.
This musical analogy is a basic reminder that our diet and lifestyle can have a major impact on our overall health via our hormones. Years of high sugar and carbohydrate diets, crazy scheduling, hormone disrupting chemicals, stress, lack of exercise and relaxation time can take it’s toll on the fine balance that exists between our hormones and can lead to a wide variety of health conditions. Diet and lifestyle changes and a targeted supplement program can be the key to bringing the symphony back into harmony.
