Health coaching is an integral part of the Physical Nutrition practice. Our relationship with food is incredibly complex. Our food and lifestyle choices are tied up in our childhood experiences, culture, religion, self esteem, mindset and previous health history. It can be a monumental challenge to make the changes you need to make to realise your health and wellness goals. Health coaching can provide advice, regular accountability and support to help you build new healthier habits and mindset.
I have been working as a health coach for many years, firstly as a personal trainer then latterly as a degree qualified clinical nutritionist. I am also currently studying for a Diploma in Counselling so I can develop the skills I need to help my clients work on the mindset challenges that are preventing them from reaching their goals. I am very concerned with the number of unqualified individuals who are practicing as health coaches in todays world. When you work with me you know that you are in well qualified, safe hands.
Holistic Health Coach
When I work as a health coach, I am looking at the whole person and I use this holistic approach to advise on the best changes for you as an individual. I also have many resources and aids to help to realise your goals such as:
- Information flyers
- Meal plans, recipes and shopping lists for many different types of diet
- Detailed nutrition and lifestyle plans tailored for your individual needs
- A wide range of functional testing such as gut microbiome, food allergy and sensitivity testing, detailed hormone testing etc. These help to identify any underlying health issues that may be holding you back from your goals.
- Education seminars to help you understand why you need to make the changes I have asked you to make.
- Exercise advice and programing as per your individual requirements.
Online Health Coach
Health coaching works extremely well online. I have online clients on a global scale who either see me one on one or via my Eat Train Glow Online Weight Loss Program. I work with my one on one health coaching clients via Zoom. You can either sign up for a 12-Week Program or see me on a more casual basis as per your requirements. Some clients I see weekly to give them extra accountability and support and some clients I see up to every 6 months for a regular check in. The Eat Train Glow program is my pride and joy. This program is designed to help women aged 35+ to optimise weight, balance hormones and age on an optimal level. I join the Eat Train Glow program live twice per week to provide personal health coaching on an ongoing basis.
In-Clinic Health Coach Perth
If you are based in Perth, Western Australia you can see me for health coaching in my clinic, which is based in South Perth. The advantage of seeing me face to face is that we can also do body composition analysis, body measurements and ECAL metabolic testing all of which help to measure progress and provide important data for an initial prescription. Some clients do a mixture of in-clinic and online depending on their schedules.
